About
I've always been drawn to systems more than single outputs. For years that showed up through Houdini — building procedural setups where one change ripples cleanly through hundreds of variations, rather than touching each one by hand. It's the part of 3D work I never got tired of, long after the rendering and delivery side started to feel repetitive.
That same instinct is what pulled me into AI. The tools changed, but the thinking didn't — I still want to understand a problem well enough to build the system that solves it, not just produce one version of the answer. I think in architecture: how pieces connect, where something will break, what needs to be true for it to run without me standing over it.
Recent work includes an automated AI photography pipeline for dealership photography (BeyndAI), a photogrammetry-to-3D conversion tool built for The New York Times, and a generative materials visualization pipeline for Orbital Materials — each one less about the final image than about the system that kept producing it.
How I work
Most projects start the same way, regardless of the tools involved: I take a brief and see it through from start to end. Sometimes solo, sometimes alongside a team inside a studio or company.
I usually begin with reference — pulling together a board that sets the visual direction before anything gets built. From there it moves into storyboards or an animatic, depending on how much the project depends on timing and sequence, then into iterative production passes.
Building a pipeline follows the same shape, just looped tighter: reference the problem, build a first pass, break it, fix it, run it again. Whether that's a Houdini setup or an AI-driven system, the cycle is the same — I keep iterating until it's something that runs reliably, not just something that worked once.
